IMDB Rating: 7.6
Vinod Chopra looked like he worked hard to pay homage to guru Shakespeare and the pathos of Othello in Eklavya. But unlike the true Eklavya, Chopra lacked the devotion to be strong willed and maim his protagonist to make it truly poetic. Cinematically different from any Hindi film Ive seen in the past with some very beautiful portraits, it lacked intensity and soul. Hated Boman Irani. And the fact that it had too many stars for a script that would have been more real with some unknown faces.
My Verdict: Style cannot make up for substance.
My IMDB Rating: 5.0

Yeah after 7 years, Vidhu Vinod Chopra makes a movie (His last directorial venture was Mission Kashmir)and all you can say its visually stunning! Natraj Subramanian who shot Parineeta , and now Black Friday and Eklavya is the new super cinematographer
i agree - nattu (mumbai circles!) is superb in his camera work. i agree with kavita too - boman irani is awful, irritating & over confident!!
